About us.
The Clary Anderson Ice Rink has been a vital part of Montclair since 1961, originally founded to combat juvenile delinquency through private donations. Over the years, it has evolved into a beloved community asset, serving generations of Essex County residents and visitors.
However, the rink now faces dire circumstances, risking closure without immediate action. This would not only deprive Montclair High School and Montclair Kimberly Academy of ice hockey but also displace local travel teams, adult leagues, and figure skaters. Additionally, it would end the cherished Friday and Saturday “Date Night” skating sessions, leaving a significant void in Montclair’s community fabric.
In response, we established the Clary Anderson Arena Association, a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization committed to fundraising and collaboration with the City of Montclair. Our mission is to rejuvenate Clary Anderson into a year-round ice arena, accessible to all in Montclair and Essex County, regardless of the season.
Your support is vital in this endeavor. We invite you to join us in creating something extraordinary for everyone.
